Quoting and management app for a flexible packaging manufacturer. A quote that took three to four days is now calculated in minutes, with an interactive 3D preview of the bag.

About the project
Quotes in minutes, not days.
Every quote was put together by hand in legacy software and took three to four days. We built an app that does that calculation in minutes.
The hard part wasn't the interface but the domain: understanding how each bag is made and carrying every production process into the database without losing scalability.
01 — Calculator
The user selects a product template, and the quantity, dimensions and materials are based on the chosen template. The app then calculates the order price from the quantity, the design's colours and other specifications.
02 — Instant price breakdown
The results screen shows a complete, detailed quote that used to take the team three to four days to put together by hand in legacy software, and was only visible to employees.
03 — Admin panel
The app also includes an admin panel where the team can manage templates, update material prices, change machine speeds and other variables that affect the price, so it always reflects current production costs and times.

Team project. Before writing code we had to understand how a bag is made from start to finish.

From factory floor to database
We studied the whole bag manufacturing process and implemented it in the database. Each production process needed its own table, and we still ended up with a scalable app.

API
Python backend with FastAPI for the pricing calculations, and Alembic to manage migrations for a many-table schema.
- 03
Interactive 3D models
Models prepared in Blender and rendered with Three.js. The bag's geometry changes in the browser as the user enters dimensions.

Admin panel
Templates, material prices and machine speeds the team can edit themselves, without touching code.
